COVID-19 Help India Appeal update.

MAUK distributes face masks donated by Ford Dagenham Engine Plant.

As our charitable endeavours in various parts of India are helping to ease the burden of those affected by the virus, the kind support of our friends here in the UK has been overwhelming.

With the support of our donors, MAUK Help India Covid-19 Appeal was able to undertake 16 projects across Kerala costing over £20,000.

Our charitable endeavours even caught the attention of the Plant Manager at Dagenham Engine Plant, Ford Motor Company and they have kindly donated 10,000 masks. We express our sincere gratitude to Paul Neighbour, Plant Manager of Dagenham Engine Plant and Richard Martin, Area Manager Dagenham Ford for their support for MAUK’s Appeal.

Our sincere thanks also goes out to Jose Mathews of Thiruvanathapurum District Social Welfare Cooperative Society and Kanakaraj for coordinating the distribution of the masks in Kerala, India.

Through our volunteers, MAUK distributed 15,000 face masks to frontline staff at Thiruvananthapuram Medical College, Kerala State Road Transport Corporation and to the coastal areas of Thiruvananthapuram in partnership with Cheriyathura Parish Church.

We are inundated with many appeals for help from various parts of India. With your continued support, we will dedicate all our energy, efforts and resources to stand in solidarity with those who have been severely affected with this Pandemic.
