Santosh Nair is a scintillating Bharathanatyam performer and a gifted pupil of the eminent gurus, Guru Sri V.S.Ramamoorthy and Guru Smt. Manjula Ramaswamy. She is also fortunate enough to be trained under the guidance of Smt.Priyadarshini Govind, Chennai. She was also trained by Guru Rama Vaidyanathan and Guru Bragha Besel for Abhinaya.
She is extremely creative and her performance shows her inborn talent as a classical dancer. Santosh has always been regarded as a prodigy and a highly talented artist even as a child. Her abhinaya speaks volumes about her mimetic powers and she is well known for her high imagination and novelty in presentation of characters like Ravana, Hiranyakashipu, Duryodhana, Shiva, Krishna, Durga, Meera, Droupati, Goda, Devi, etc.
Santosh marks her origin from Kerala but is brought up in Hyderabad, India. She is a young Management Consultant, who is currently pursuing her PhD from Liverpool Hope University in the subject of Bharatanatyam and it’s connection to spiritual consciousness. Santosh also completed her Master’s Degree (M.B.A) at Sunderland University, London. She also holds an Engineering Degree and is also a Diploma holder in Performing Arts.
Apart from Arts & Academics, Santosh has also been skilled in Singing, Compering, Choreography and Mono Acting to her credit.
Santosh was awarded the prestegious “BALA SHREE AWARD” honoured by the President of India Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam at Rastrapathi Bhavan,New Delhi in 2005. Santosh received Laurels from the Chief Minister of A.P Dr.Y.S.Rajasekhar Reddy on the occasion of Annual Function Celebrations of J B B,Hyderabad in 2005. She was also awarded the Title of “BALA RATNA” by K.R.Suresh Reddy,Speaker of A.P Legislative Assembly and Sri.M.Venkatanarayana,Chairman of Gowtham Model School in 2005.
